   Sexual Fantasy

Sexual fantasies get our brain in the mood for sex, and fantasies are our brain's way of telling us it is time for sex. So our brain is the largest sex organ in our body and if we are not in the mood of having sex then even masturbation (alone or with a partner) will be meaningless. For instance it is not unusual for a woman or teenager to complain that when she caresses her vulva and clitoris that she does not experience sexual pleasure, perhaps feeling nothing at all. A likely cause for this is that her brain is not primed for sex. Orgasm is then a mental and chemical process and the brain controls the release of chemicals that make orgasm possible. If the chemicals, hormones, are not available, even mental thought may not be enough to get your body ready for sex and sexual pleasure. Both genders are sexual beings and do have their sexual fantasies. They also have perverse and kinky sexual thoughts and ideas that they would like to try. This makes men and women horny from time to time and drives them to seek out for sex.

Women's fantasies cover the full range of possible topics, from romantic non-sexual seduction to violent rape and torture. The thoughts that sexually arouse a woman are most likely determined at a very young age, perhaps even before puberty. Preadolescent girls have sexual fantasies too.

Anything and everything that may enter a woman's thought process is appropriate. Women often try to censor their sexual fantasies, believing they are perverse and inappropriate. Fantasies are not real, they cannot hurt anyone. Fantasizing about a perverse or illegal subject does not make you more likely to do it in real life. You still know the difference between right and wrong. You cannot change what sexually arouses you, you may find new things, and something's may become less exciting, but once a subject becomes imprinted in our minds as being sexual, it will always be sexual.

Women sometimes feel they are cheating on their partner if they fantasize during partner sex, especially if they are fantasizing about someone or something other than their current partner. This is normal and is not a form of adultery.

Almost all sexual fantasies fall into one of three general categories:

  • Sexual fantasies about the kind of sex you usually have, but with previous, imaginary, or celebrity partners.
  • Sexual fantasies involving submission and/or dominance.
  • Sexual fantasies involving unconventional sexual practices or settings.
Think about your sexual fantasies as a creative reflection of yourself. You can also think about sexual fantasy ideas as a way of telling a story, one with a beginning, middle, and end.

Here are some examples about women fantasies:
  • Girl to girl sex: Fantasizing about it does not automatically make you a lesbian. Lesbianism is a sexual orientation, more than physical sex between two women; there must also be an emotional aspect, and sexual desire. Some women are attracted to the "feminine" qualities in doing sex such as softness, gentleness, loving, and romanticism.

  • Oral sex: It refers to sexual activities involving the use of the mouth, and may include use of the tongue, teeth, and throat, to stimulate genitalia. Cunnilingus refers to oral sex performed on a woman while fellatio and irrumatio refer to oral sex performed on a man. Analingus refers to oral stimulation of a person's anus. Oral stimulation of other parts of the body (as in kissing and licking) is usually not considered oral sex.

  • Group sex: This is involving more than two participants at the same time, such as in gang bang or orgy.

  • Sex with a stranger.

  • Past experiences or partners: Remembering a special or unusual sexual experience can be very arousing. Sometimes it is fantasizing about what you could have done or what you wished had happened during a previous situation that excites you.

  • Acquaintances: Women are very visual beings. They can be aroused by the momentary visual image of someone, male or female, they meet or see and find sexually attractive.

  • Bad girls: Some women may fantasize that they are a prostitute, a stripper, or any women who is "required" to be sexual as part of her identity. A woman may fantasize that she is dressed in a sexually provocative manner in a room full of horny men, and perhaps women.

  • Romantic sex: Women often fantasize about being seduced and carried away on horseback such as in romance novels full of sexual scenes, or romantic, almost sex. Romance novels are to women what Playboy is to men i.e. sexual stimulation. Romantic fantasies are a traditional form of fantasy that is safe as long as a woman does not confuse her fantasies with reality.

  • Being submissive: The person who is exerting the most control during a slave/master relationship is usually the slave, as the slave controls what happens. A woman who envisions herself being a submissive or slave is creating a scenario where she is not in control of what happens, but her needs are always met.

  • Incest and inappropriate partners: Sexual experiences during childhood and adolescence can become the bases for our adult fantasies. Our first sexual experiences are likely to occur within the confines of our immediate family. These fantasies are also looked at by some specialists as normal, and do not have any bearing on real life. Women who had non-consensual sex as a child may have sexual fantasies about the events that happened and this does not mean they were at fault or consenting to these activities.

  • Sex with animals: Women sometimes fantasize about sex with animals, usually dogs and horses. Animals they may have been exposed to as a child. This is just another rare and unusual fantasy scenario that some specialists look at it as perfectly normal.
